Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a prize of Tk 50 lakh to the women’s SAFF champion Bangladesh team. This was stated by the highest regulatory body in Bangladesh cricket in a press release on Wednesday.
Announcing the award, BCB president Nazmul Hasan said, “The women’s football team has made the entire country proud with their incredible performance and historic achievements. On behalf of BCB, I am announcing a reward of Tk 50 lakh for the team as a mark of respect and support for their efforts.
He further said, “I have no doubt that winning this title at the SAFF Championship will inspire boys and girls across the country and push them further to achieve international success in their respective sports.
Bangladesh women’s football team is returning home today after winning the Himalayan country. The plane carrying the Saf Champion girls will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today at 1:50 PM.
Meanwhile, BAFUF has made all preparations to welcome Sabina-Krishna. An open-top double-decker bus with a picture of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina holding a football has already been prepared for the team. Arranged by Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan will be present at the airport. There will be the secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and others. Officials of Bangladesh Football Federation will also go to receive the girls, but BAF President Salahuddin is not going to the airport. He will be received in Buffe Bhavan.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports and Bangladesh Football Federation will jointly welcome the footballers at the airport. There, the winning footballers will be showered with flowers as well as sweetened.
Before this, Bangladesh women’s team achieved the honor of becoming the champion for the first time by defeating the host Nepal 3-1 at Dashrath Stadium in Nepal.
