The company has designed a plane that will take passengers directly from Britain to America in just three and a half hours.
The company has named this aircraft ‘Overture’. The world’s fastest plane ‘747’, ‘Concord’ has also been surpassed in terms of speed.
BOOM Supersonic company staff jokingly said, “If Concorde and 747 were the children of two planes, it would be Overture.” Many people referred to this plane as “Son of Concorde”.
Overture’s normal speed is 2,092 km/h on land, but over water it can reach a speed of 1,239 km/h.
According to Boom Supersonic, the aircraft underwent 26 million hours of simulation testing and five wind tunnel tests after a total of 51 design changes.
The process of flying this aircraft will start from 2026. Overture will start flying with its first passenger in 2029 – such is the company’s plan.
This aircraft can fly with 60 to 80 passengers up to 60 thousand feet.
